DataJelly Edge Is Being Sunset
DataJelly Edge — our edge rendering and AI visibility layer — is no longer offered to new customers. The problems it solved are still real, and our educational resources stay available. Going forward, our active product is DataJelly Guard.
What this means
- Edge is closed to new customers. We are not onboarding new accounts onto the Edge rendering product.
- Educational resources remain available. Our guides on prerendering, dynamic rendering, SSR, and JavaScript SEO stay online as technical references.
- The technical problem still exists. JavaScript apps still ship thin HTML to crawlers, and rendering still breaks in production. That problem did not go away.
- Guard is now the active product. DataJelly Guard monitors your live, rendered pages and alerts you when output regresses after a deploy.
Why we focused on Guard
The frameworks and platforms teams build on have changed. SSR, prerendering, and crawler-visible HTML are increasingly handled by the stack itself — many builders now ship server rendering and AI-bot-friendly output by default. What teams still lack is a way to know whether their live pages survived the last deploy.
A site can return 200 OK and still serve a blank page, a script shell, a hydration crash, a missing CTA, or an accidental noindex. Guard runs browser-based checks on the pages that matter, compares output against a known-good baseline, and alerts on regressions — the failures uptime monitoring and logs miss.
